Saint Luke 13:30 – “And,
indeed, there are last who will be first, and there are first who will
be last.”
As with the history of mankind, one faction wars against another for supposed
gain or control. This is another imitation of the battle between God and
Satan; the ultimate conquest of good over evil. God chose the Jews as
His people, promising the eternal reward of heaven. The Jews were the
first to hear, yet, they denied the messenger and crucified Him. In God’s
holy mercy the Gentiles were enlisted in the fray. When the battle is
complete and our Lord Jesus Christ returns to gather His sheep, the Jews
will believe it is the first appearance of the Messiah, the Gentiles will
be convinced it’s the second appearance, yet, we will all know He
is the Messiah; thereby, the first shall be last and the last shall be
first.
In man’s wars, whether you serve five years or one day, your benefits
are the same. Here also the scripture applies; the last will be first,
and the first will be last, bearing out God’s faithful scriptures.
We’re all in this together and thank you for serving.
